This is our first store we opened in September of 2006. It is basically the neighborhood's living room. We are so blessed to be in the Clarksville/Old West Austin neighborhood. It is an old house that has been an accounting office, beauty salon, and Crofts boutique before it moved to South Congress. The neighborhood is rich with history and if you have time you should read the plaque in front of Sweet Home Baptist, which is a living monument to this neighborhoods history.

In 2008, Alison and I took over Metro Espresso Bar. Doug Stott wanted to retire from the coffee business and approached us about taking over. Alison and I started dating at Metro when we were in college and has always been near to our hearts. Faculty, Staff, and students fill the space with the conversation of learning. It is a very youthful space that has a lot of energy when school is in session. We are right across the street from the West Campus of The University of Texas.

Our downtown location is located on Congress in the Austonian. We opened in March of 2011. We had a lot of fun working with Runa Workshop and AKA Builders. In this shop we were able to capture the urban feel of downtown with Medici's distinct laid back style. The stand alone barista bar allows everyone to interact with the barista and conversation to flow. Medici downtown is a great place for meetings or to just get away from the office.
